Bill to Strengthen Rights of Vicims Moving Forward
(Boston) –Representative Kate Hogan (D-Stow) and Senator Karen Spilka (D-Ashland) announced that their legislation to reform and clarify the legal rights of family members when a loved one dies at the hands of a spouse was reported out of the Joint Committee on Public Health yesterday.

House Passes Sales Tax Holiday Legislation
Sets Tax-Free Weekend in August to Boost Local Business
BOSTON – State Representative Kate Hogan (D-Stow) today joined her colleagues in the Massachusetts House of Representatives in approving legislation that would allow a state sales tax holiday on August 13th and 14th of this year to encourage consumers to shop at local businesses across the state.
