Property Going Unclaimed!

You may have unclaimed property that is being held by State Treasurer Steven Grossman's Unclaimed Property Division. This is your opportunity to get it back!
Each year the Commonwealth takes possession of unclaimed property which includes cash, forgotten savings and checking accounts, uncashed checks, insurance policy proceeds, stocks, dividends and contents of abandoned safe deposit boxes. Most accounts are considered "abandoned" and turned over to the Treasury after three years because people either forgot about them, moved without notifying everyone about their address change, or for some other minor reason.
According to the Division's records, it may be holding property of yours valued at $500 or more. If it's your money or your property you should claim it.
To file a claim, please contact the Unclaimed Property Division. You can call them at 1-888-344-MASS (6277) or (617) 367-0400; email: abp@tre.state.ma.us; or write to them at:
Department of the State Treasurer
